The current trend of businesses deciding not to send Christmas cards is continually benefiting local charities.

Pro-Pay Ltd, a Bexhill based payroll bureau have donated the sum of £250.00 to the Bexhill on Sea Lions Club.

Managing Director, Alison Godwin presented the cheque to Fred Thorns and David Burstow of Bexhill Lions at Pro-Pay's Wilton Road office on Friday.

Alison said: 'We are very pleased to be able to hand this money to Bexhill Lions in the knowledge that it will be put to good effect in the Bexhill area. We are particularly keen to support local good causes especially during the Christmas season.'

On receiving the cheque on behalf of the Lions, David Burstow said: 'We are very grateful to receive this donation and were pleasantly surprised by the value of the gift.' He went on to say, 'the Lions are always active in the local community and we will ensure that this is given to one of Bexhill's deserving causes.'
